In Bashkortostan number of births exceeds number of deaths by 13.3 percent, nationwide - by 2.1 percent

In January-November 55174 babies were born in Bashkortostan — by one and a half percent more than in the same period of 2013. 48,713 people died during the same period. Thus, the natural population growth amounted to 6461 people in the republic, Bashkortostan Statistics Agency reports.
In the republic the number of births exceeds the number of deaths by 13.3 percent compared to 10.9 percent in January-November 2013. The nationwide figure is 2.1 percent.
Natural increase was observed in 44 regions of the Russian Federation, including in seven subjects of the Volga Federal District. Tatarstan (plus 8860 people), Bashkortostan (6461) and the Udmurt Republic (2394) are the leaders in the Volga Federal Region.
