Cold snap with frosts to 20 degrees is expected after a warm period in Bashkiria

Abnormally high temperatures, not common for the climate norms of December dominated in recent days throughout central Russia, including Bashkortostan. In the second decade of the month temperatures were by seven degrees above norm.
As reported by weather forecasters, this week cloudy weather, snow, blizzards and a gradual decrease in temperature is expected.
According to the head of weather forecasting department of Bashkir Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring Directorate Ludmila Vafina, day and night temperatures will be close to zero on Tuesday, December 23.
“On December 23, the temperatures will start to decrease gradually. By the middle of the week we are waiting for snow, blizzards, snow drifts on the roads. By December 26-27 chances of precipitation decreases. It will be colder at nights to 15-20 C° below zero, dropping to 25 C° at sunny periods. Daytime temperatures will be in the range of 17-20 C° below zero over the weekend”, Lyudmila Vafina said.
In the last days of the outgoing year a probability of low temperatures also remains, no precipitation is expected. Perhaps such frosty weather in the region will continue for quite a long period, forecasters specify.
