Alexander Georgiev and Tamara Tansykkuzhina will compete at World Mind Games 2014 in Beijing

Representatives of Bashkortostan, multiple world champion Alexander Georgiev and Tamara Tansykkuzhina among other Russian athletes will compete at the World Mind Games 2014 — SportAccord World Mind Games 2014, which will start in Beijing on December 11.
The press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports RB specified that the intellectual competitions will be held in five sports: chess, draughts, go, bridge and xiangqi (Chinese chess). The venue is Beijing International conference centre, which is located in the Olympic Village.
32 players representing the elite of the sport will take part in draughts tournament at the World Mind Games. 28 players (12 women, 16 men) will compete in international draughts, 4 players in checkers (English draughts). The competition will be held in three disciplines: rapid, blitz and super blitz.
Last year, Alexander Georgiev won the "gold" and "silver" in three disciplines and Tamara Tansykkuzhina won "silver" and two "bronze" medals, the Ministry of Youth and Sports informs.
