Ufa Airport reconstructed terminal will be launched in a pilot mode in January 2015

The large-scale reconstruction of the terminal of Ufa International Airport is in the stage of completion, which financing is carried out by the company's own funds. According to the press service of the air hub, all systems testing in a pilot mode is scheduled for January 2015.
At the moment, interior finishing and decoration works, connecting of engineering, heating, lighting, water supply systems are being conducted. Commissioning works, alignment of technological equipment and furniture are being carried out. Total more than 1.7 billion rubles will be spent on the reconstruction.
The total area of the terminal is more than 16.5 thousand sq. m and meets to the international standards of "C" category IATA (high level of comfort and technology for passengers). The building will have two floors. All passenger luggage handling operations will be carried out on the ground floor. Passport and customs control on arrival are also located there. Green and red corridors of customs control, passport control and departure lounge of international flights are organized on the first floor.
Additional three air bridges are located perpendicular to the terminal finger.
The reconstruction of the airport airfield is nearing completion, which is fully funded from the federal budget. The total funding of the first stage is 2 billion 767 million rubles. At this stage, the construction of a taxiway, apron for wide-bodied jets, extension of the existing apron are coming to an end. Until the end of 2014 all works on construction of a sewage system, storm drainage, patrol road and reconstruction of the lighting system of the apron and aircraft parking places should be also completed.
After the SCO and BRICS Summits the second stage of the airfield reconstruction will begin, with total cost of 3 billion 700 million rubles. The project envisages strengthening of artificial runway-2 coating, including the reconstruction of the existing lighting equipment and the platform strengthening, strengthening the coating of taxiways «N» and «F» and the existing apron. All construction works on the second stage should be completed by October 2015.
