Ufa State Aviation Technical University entered the hundred best universities in the BRICS countries


UFA, 4 December 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Ufa State Aviation Technical University is included in the annual rating of BRICS universities. The global independent rating of universities of Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa and 17 other developing countries is published in the Times Higher Education magazine, ITAR-TASS reports.

Only seven of Russian universities managed to enter into the rating. These are Moscow State University(MSU) — 5th place, Novosibirsk State University — 34, St. Petersburg State University — 64th place. The rating also includes MEPhI (13th place), MIPT (69th place), Ufa State Aviation Technical University (70th place) and BMSTU (90th place).

Russian universities have significantly improved their positions in the global education system. This is confirmed by the published rating of the top 100 universities in the BRICS countries and developing countries for 2015, compiled by the British publication Times Higher Education in cooperation with the Thomson Reuters agency. It is published for the second consecutive year and is designed to show the state of higher education in emerging economies. The new rating includes universities from 18 countries.
