Bashkortostan and Germany strengthen inter-university cooperation


UFA, 2 December 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. Bashkir Academy of Public Service and Administration under the President RB held an international round table "German Language for Life, Career and Business". The Forum has become a key event of the project "Goethe in Ufa", which is dedicated to joining the German Language and Culture Centre «Hallo Deutsch» the international partner network of language centres of Goethe-Institut. The conference in Ufa was able to unite the leaders and representatives of organizations in various fields such as education, culture, business, youth associations for a constructive dialogue on international cooperation between Bashkortostan and the Federal Republic of Germany.

As the press service of Bashkir Academy of Public Service informs, the discussion was attended by the Deputy Director of Goethe-Institut Anna Renata Schönhagen (Moscow), the curator of the Russian network of language centres of Goethe-Institut Maria Lukyanchikova (Moscow), methodical director of the Centre of the German Language, Novosibirsk State University, Alexander Kirienko, heads of the German Language and Culture Centre «Hallo Deutsch» Arthur Shafeev and Irina Shafeeva, representatives of the leading universities of the republic, commercial organizations, ministries and departments of Bashkortostan, as well as members of the Society of Friendship "Bashkortostan — Germany".

Implementation of projects in the field of economic, educational, scientific and cultural cooperation between Russia and Germany, projects of business structures were discussed in the course of the international round table. Also, they talked about strengthening of international and interregional relations, establishing partnerships between the two countries.

Today, 158 Goethe-Instituts are represented in 93 countries, 13 institutions — in Germany, three Goethe Instituts actively function in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk.
