Museum-Reserve "Ancient Ufa" presented unique photographs and artifacts

The Ufa Gallery "Ural" presents an exhibition of photographs and artifacts entitled "Secrets of the Ancient City." For the first time materials of medieval monument "Ancient City Ufa-II" are displayed at the exhibition organized by the Museum "Ancient Ufa". This monument is the largest in the Southern Urals, which cultural layer reaches four metres.
The exhibition features unique pieces — arrowheads, tableware, jewelry, stone sculpture of a human head and even a fragment of leather armour.
A great interest among the visitors was raised by colour copies of the Catalan atlas and maps of the Dutch traveler Merkatra, which marked the ancient city "Paskerti" - this toponym researchers believe consonant to "Bashkort" name.
The exhibition is supplemented by works of contemporary artists — Rezeda Tagirova and Roman Saifullin, the main idea of works is a reconstruction of the ancient city view.
The exhibition also presented a 3D-project. Together with "Real Projection" LLC a virtual tour over the future museum complex "Ancient Ufa" was designed and created.
“The virtual tour will soon be posted on the official website of the museum”, the deputy director of the museum Fayaz Arslanov said.
It was managed to implement the exhibition due to a 100-thousand grant of the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The exhibition will run during a week at 56, Lenin Street.
