Teachers and students from Bashkiria visited the UK as part of UNESCO project

A delegation from Bashkortostan visited London within the framework of UNESCO International Educational Project "Dialogue and Cooperation". The delegation included leaders, educators, teachers and students of educational institutions of Ufa, Salavat, Ishimbay, Karmaskaly, Kuyurgazy, Salavat and Zilair regions of the republic.
According to the press service of the Committee RB for UNESCO Affairs, the program included the English language training courses in the international language school «Select English».
Representatives of various countries and peoples of the world studied at the school: Russia, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Mexico, China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
Also, members of the delegation of the Committee RB for UNESCO Affairs acquainted with history and culture of the United Kingdom, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and other historical and cultural monuments of the country.
The delegation from Bashkortostan visited the city of Bath, located in the southwestern part of England (Somerset) — UNESCO World Heritage Site and the city of Cardiff, the capital of Wales.
In addition, there was a meeting with Russian diplomats and representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo (Russian Federal Cultural Agency) who briefed the delegation members with projects and programs taking place as part of the UK-Russia Year of Culture, state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the spheres of culture, science, education, youth exchange, sports and tourism.
