The head of the republic Rustem Khamitov being on his working trip over Sterlibashevo region, visited the sports complex "Sterlya", which was commissioned in 2006. Bashkortostan President inspected a 25-metre swimming pool, gym and fitness facilities, as well as a chess club, and talked with young athletes.
The sports complex is visited by over 450 children who are engaged in such sports as volleyball, basketball, swimming, national wrestling "kuresh", chess, hockey, football, skiing. 11 coaches work with the children.
The head of Bashkortostan also visited a kindergarten No.3 in Maksyutovo village, which was redesigned from an abandoned building and commissioned in early 2014. The estimated cost of the kindergarten for 85 children was 5.1 million rubles.
Rustem Khamitov said that he welcomed the experience of creating preschool institutions through conversion of unfinished or abandoned objects. This allows not only saving budgetary funds, but also quickly resolving the problem of waiting lists to kindergartens.
