“It has become known about a difficult situation of our countryman Jan Kryzhevsky from his daughter’s letter to the President of Bashkortostan. The head of the republic immediately gave instructions to provide all possible assistance to the famous Soviet artist. In particular, Rustem Khamitov signed a letter addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov to instruct the New York consulate of Russia to assist in issuing necessary documents for repatriation of Jan Kryzhevsky in Russia — to his family in Ufa. External Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration provides organizational support to Jan Kryzhevsky and his family. Bashkortostan doesn’t leave in trouble its compatriots. This has been proven many times, when the inhabitants of the republic found themselves in various difficult situations abroad. This is a compelling stand of the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov”, the press secretary of the head of the region Artem Valiev said.
