CEC Bashkortostan held election campaign at a very high level - Sergey Molchanov

Elections of 2014 were held in the proper way in Bashkortostan. Such evaluation to the electoral system of the Republic of Bashkortostan was given by the Head of the Presidential Administration Sergey Molchanov. Today the Central Election Commission of the republic summarized elections of September 14, 2014. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the State Assembly — Kurultay RB Konstantin Tolkachev, republican CEC head Khaidar Valeev, members of election commissions of all levels.

“The elections were open, transparent, competitive and fair. They were held properly, in full accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Bashkortostan,” Sergey Molchanov said.

The Head of the Presidential Administration said that the election campaign was always a serious test for any social and political system.

The meeting summed up all the election campaigns of 2014. 22 campaigns were held on the single voting day of September 14 in Bashkortostan, including early elections of the President RB. There were 204 nominated candidates for 55 seats. 167 names of registered candidates were entered into the ballots. As a result of the voting all deputy seats were renewed.

The early elections of the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan was attended by over 74 percent of the number of voters included in the lists. Rustem Khamitov was elected the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan with 81.71 percent of votes.

Sergey Molchanov presented state awards to the best workers of Bashkortostan republic electoral system.
