Demographics are more indicative of social development level than macroeconomic indicators - Rustem Khamitov

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov in his annual address to the State Assembly RB marked the improvement in the demographic situation in the region.
“Recently, the demographic situation has been improving in the republic: birth rate increases, death rate decreases. Natural population growth is marked, life expectancy increased. Demographics sometimes are more indicative of the level of social development than macroeconomic indicators,” Rustem Khamitov said. According to the head of the republic, population growth is influenced by various factors, among which there is health care, quality housing and food provision, social protection organization, promoting healthy lifestyles, social optimism.
“The Government of the republic is targeted to work in all these areas,” the President of Bashkortostan underlined.
