Rustem Khamitov met with Rospechat head Mikhail Seslavinsky

On October 29, the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the head of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications (Rospechat) Mikhail Seslavinsky at the House of the Republic. The head of the department arrived in Ufa to attend the awards ceremony of XIII All-Russian competition for the best coverage of patriotic education theme in the media «Patriot of Russia-2014». During the meeting the parties discussed the results of the competition, as well as issues related to the upcoming Year of Literature in the republic.

Rustem Khamitov thanked Michael Seslavinskiy for choosing Ufa as the venue for the awards ceremony.

The head of Rospechat marked the leading positions of Bashkortostan in the "Patriot of Russia" competition. This year 32 mass media reached the finals.

“Cooperation with the republic is going on not only through events holding. We actively support socially important programs on TV and in republican newspapers. As of September 1, 2014 Rospechat allocated more than 2.8 million rubles of state subsidies to 11 print media, of which 10 are published in national languages. This is, first of all, children's editions "Amanat", "Akbuzat" and others, as well as the newspaper for senior citizens "Veteran of Bashkortostan", Mikhail Seslavinskiy said.

Rustem Khamitov and Mikhail Seslavinsky also discussed preparations for the Year of Literature in Bashkortostan in 2015. The head of the department said that Rospechat had already received applications for activities that would take place in libraries, schools and cultural institutions.
