Dmitry Medvedev estimated skills of beekeepers from Bashkortostan at the "Golden Autumn" exhibition

The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev took part in the opening ceremony of the XVI Russian agricultural exhibition "Golden Autumn", which is taking place in Moscow these days. In his speech he noted the contribution of farmers in food supply security in Russia and presented state awards to the best representatives of the industry.
Dmitry Medvedev also familiarized with the exposition, visited stands of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the Russian regions.
As the Bashkir Research Centre on Beekeeping and Apitherapy informs, an exhibit of Bashkortostan — Ufa Friendship Monument, made of honey marmalade drew special attention of the Prime Minister.
Recall that the height of the sculpture, weighing 95 kg, is 1.3 m, in diameter — 1 m. 1220 pieces of marmalade were used for its manufacturing, which recipe included Bashkir honey and royal jelly. Figures of women were made from beeswax.
