Ufa will host regional qualifying rounds for the "Turkvision-2014" contest

In the autumn the qualifying rounds for the second International TV Song Contest "Turkvision-2014" started. The contest will bring together artists and pop groups from 24 countries and autonomous regions.

On November 19 and 21, the semifinal and final of the contest will be held in Kazan, which this year has the title of "Cultural Capital of the Turkic World." The winner will receive an opportunity to broadcast for a year his video on the International TV channel TMB, which is a media partner of TURKSOY with the audience of 100 million viewers in 12 countries.

In Ufa applications are accepted at the "Kuray" music channel from artists over 18 years until October 20.

“The qualifying round for the "Turkvision 2014" contest will be held in Ufa in late October — early November. The jury will include representatives of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan and Turkey. Today applications from young artists such as Tagir Asadullin, Ian Lira, Arthur Shugaepov, Gulnaz Fakhretdinova, ethnic group «ZAMAN» are received. According to the results of the selection, our republic will be represented in the semifinals by one signer”, the chief editor of the channel Aigul Akhmadeeva said.

The idea of the contest was proposed by the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY. In 2013, the competition was held in Turkey. It was attended by soloists and groups from Azerbaijan, Altai, Bashkortostan, Gagauzia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Crimea, Macedonia, Turkey, Tatarstan, Khakassia and other countries and republics. The representative of Azerbaijan was the winner of 2013.
