Inflation in Bashkiria increased to 6.2 percent in January-September

Inflation in the republic was 6.2 percent in January-September compared to 4.3 percent for the same period in 2013, according to the materials of Bashkortostan Statistics Agency. The nationwide index was 6.3 percent. In the subjects of the Volga Federal District it varies in the range from 5.5 percent in the Orenburg region to 6.9 percent in the Ulyanovsk Region and the Republic of Mordovia.
In Bashkortostan services since the beginning of the year rose in price by 9 percent (in January-September of 2013 — 8.6 percent), food products – by 8.1 percent (3.6), food prices — by 2.7 percent (2.5).
Increase rate in food products prices is significantly higher than the last year. Thus, the price of fruit and citrus in Bashkortostan for the nine months rose by 13.9 percent (decreased by 2.3 percent for the same period in 2013), meat products — by 13.1 percent (a decrease of 1.2 percent). Fish products in the current year added to the price of 10.5 percent (in January-September of 2013 — 4.2 percent), milk — 8.1 per cent (10.6). In addition, the sugar price increased by 17.9 percent, tea, chocolate, rice – by 11.7 — 13.2 percent.
