Actor and art director of Bashkir Drama Theatre Oleg Khanov was awarded the Stanislavsky International Award

In Moscow, the winners of the XIX International Stanislavsky Award for outstanding contribution to the development of theatrical art were announced.
The jury headed by the art director of the Russian Youth Theatre Alexey Borodin defined Elizaveta Boyarskaya as the best actress for her work in productions by Kama Ginkas ("Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk" MTYuZ) and by Lev Dodin ("The Cherry Orchard" MDT- Theatre of Europe), Danila Kozlovsky as the best actor for his role in the play "The Cherry Orchard" by Lev Dodin, as well as Oleg Khanov, the actor, art director of the Mazhit Gafuri Bashkir Academic Drama Theatre "for his roles of recent years".
Vladimir Urin will be awarded for his contribution to the Russian theatrical business development and Kathy Mitchell and Sam Mendes for their contribution to the world theatrical business development.
The special Stanislavsky Award will go to the charity theatre project "Mowgli Generation" (the art director Konstantin Khabensky). Also, awards will be given for contributions to theatre pedagogics, theatre history and the best scenography.
Recall that the International Stanislavsky Award is awarded annually for outstanding contribution to the development of theatrical art. The nineteenth award ceremony will be held in Moscow in December.
