Ufa celebrates the International Music Day

Since 1975, on October 1, the International Music Day is celebrated annually. The holiday was established on the initiative of the International Music Council of UNESCO's 15th General Assembly in Lausanne. One of the initiators of the establishment of the International Music Day was — the great Russian composer Dmitry Shostakovich.
Today several musical events dedicated to the professional holiday will be held in Ufa. Bashkir State Philharmonic Society traditionally opens a concert season of the Organ Hall. The clarinet soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic Society Arthur Naziullin will give his charity concert with the awarding of the prize "Constellation". Moscow Trio «Light music», Ufa performers and award recipients will play at the concert.
The Concert Hall of the Ufa College of Art will host the All-Russian festival "Music Review — 25." It will be devoted to the International Music Day and the 25th anniversary of the famous Russian newspaper.
"The Gypsy Baron" operetta by Johann Strauss will be performed at Ufa Youth Palace by St. Petersburg Musical Theatre (conductor — Vladimir Rylov, who worked in Ufa in previous years).
Ufa jazz club will feature the «Jossan & Vorovey Band» consisting of Anastasia Vorovey (guitar), Andrey Potseluev (drums), Anna Jossan (vocals), Artem Baskakov (bass guitar), Igor Atapin (piano).
