"Material Evidence. Syria. Ukraine" exhibition in New York City presents the works of photographers from Ufa


UFA, 22 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency,Leila Aralbaeva/. The documentary photo exhibition "Material Evidence. Syria. Ukraine" opened in Manhattan, New York. The exhibition includes unique shots, artifacts, video footage of events of two conflicts — in Ukraine and Syria. The exhibition was previously exhibited in Russia, Germany, and Belgium. In Europe, the exhibition was a great success; it was visited by over 50 million viewers.

Earlier Bashinform News Agency reported about the show of this project in Ufa and in Brussels. In the United States artifacts were added with the works of the photojournalist Andrei Stenin killed near Donetsk, the first channel informs.

The photo exhibition among others presents the works of photographers from Ufa. Khalit Safin, Aibulat Akbutin, Dmitry Mikhailov repeatedly traveled to the war zone in Syria and Ukraine.

Much of the exposition is items brought by photographers directly from the combat zone, the so-called "material evidence".
