On September 17, the head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov participated in the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the newly elected leaders of Russian regions in the Kremlin, the press service of the head of the region informs. The results of the elections held on 14 September, and plans for future work were discussed there.

“The elections took place properly and professionally, and in this respect I want to thank everyone who was involved in their organisation – members of the election commissions, representatives of the political parties, and independent observers”, Vladimir Putin said.

The Russian President congratulated the elected regional leaders on their win and wished them success in their subsequent practical work.

“The main result is that our society has shown how it can rally and unite in the face of various challenges. The voters gave their support to precisely the political parties that are ready to stand up for our national interests and seek to develop and strengthen our country,” Vladimir Putin said.
