On preliminary results Rustem Khamitov leads in the presidential election with 81.71 percent of votes

UFA, 15 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. In Bashkortostan still ballots processing continues. According to preliminary results, Rustem Khamitov leads with the result of 81.71 percent of votes, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission RB Khaidar Valeev informs. Yunir Kutluguzhin received 10.13 percent of votes, Ivan Sukharev — 4.81 percent. Ildar Bikbaev won 2.62 percent of votes of the republic. The turnout was 74.89 per cent of registered voters.

On the single voting day of September 14, 2014 22 election campaigns were conducted on the territory of Bashkortostan. The main of them were early presidential elections of the republic. Also the residents of the republic elected a deputy of the State Assembly — Kurultai of Bashkortostan from Krasnokholmsk constituency No.43. In Mezhgorye elections of the City Council deputies were held.  Also by-elections of representative bodies of local self-governments of different levels were conducted.

Total 54 parliamentary seats were replaced, for which 163 registered candidates were nominated, including five — at by-elections to the republican parliament. Regional offices of six political parties took part in the elections.

3,027,300 people were included in the lists of voters as of the end of voting.
