On September 10 in Dushanbe (Tajikistan) the head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, the press service of the head of the region informs.
According to Kokhir Rasulzoda, Tajikistan and Bashkortostan "have many issues on which we can work together, create joint ventures. It will bring mutual benefit." He expressed his hope that our republic would conduct the next SCO Summit to be held in Ufa on a "very high" level, and also thanked the leaders of Bashkortostan "for their support rendered to the Consulate General of Tajikistan in Ufa. It was very important to us. We appreciate this support".
Rustem Khamitov noted that the delegation of Bashkortostan in its trip to Tajikistan pursues several objectives.
“Firstly. We want to see how you work in the part regarding reception of the SCO states-members. There is a lot to learn. Everything is well organized. My colleagues in the literal sense fix almost everything: where guests are accommodated, how they are met, venues to host the summits. This is a good experience for us. Thank you. Secondly. Perhaps this is the most important question. We want to strengthen our relations in the economy. Not only in agriculture. Not only in supplying the Russian Federation and Bashkortostan with fruits, vegetables. We would like to think about creation of joint ventures. There is $ 65 million of turnover between Tajikistan and Bashkortostan business. It is not much. We have to see where we can increase this type of activity. We have interesting businesses, good products: aviation, helicopter, mechanical engineering,” the head of the republic said.
