The head of the republic Rustem Khamitov took part in the meeting on readiness of the Russian education system for the beginning of the academic year 2014-2015, which was held by Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev as a videoconference.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Dmitry Livanov, Minister of Emergency Situation Vladimir Puchkov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare Anna Popova, heads of Russian regions.
43 000 Russian schools will open the doors for schoolchildren on September 1.
At the meeting it was marked that the number of schools in disrepair had decreased almost twice over the past five years. 55 new schools were put into operation to this academic year. However, the Prime Minister said that the problem of shortage of schools was still a challenge for a number of Russian regions.
“If we compare the situation with kindergartens, we will see that the progress is not so convincing. The problem is very pressing. It is clear that the regions now all forces and resources directed to the construction of kindergartens, but at the same time we need to think about schools too,” Dmitry Medvedev said.
In this regard, Prime Minister drew attention of the heads of Russian subjects to this issue.
“In the future, we will probably have to create a separate program for schools, after completing the program for kindergartens,” Dmitry Medvedev said.
Prime Minister asked the Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Livanov to provide equipping of each and every school in Russia with video cameras to ensure the safety of students.
Recall that the education system of Bashkortostan on the set of indicators is the fourth largest in the country. Total more than 3,5 thousands of educational institutions operate here, where 40 thousand teachers work, which educate 882,000 students.
In 2014, as part of the republican targeted investment program in Bashkortostan it is planned to commission three new schools for 1369 pupils and in the next two years — seven schools for 5358 pupils. This year, overhaul repairs were made at 471 schools, maintenance works were held at 924 schools. For this purpose 892 million rubles were allocated, respectively.
