Rustem Khamitov considers profound modernization, reconstruction of destroyed inter-sectoral and inter-plant relationships as the main task for development of republican enterprises.
"Bashkir petrochemical complex was a classic example of a large industrial cluster when the giant enterprises were included in a single production chain, supplying each other raw materials, and producing the final product. Now these companies have different owners, industrial and commodity relations are destroyed, there are small amount of finished products or no products at all. Today interplant barriers are much higher than in the Soviet era, the owners sometimes even do not talk with each other.”
"We estimate that if the republic gained petrochemical cluster as a whole system, production could be increased by 25-30 percent. We are talking about additional products for hundreds of billions of rubles! That's quite a scale, and it cannot be compared with what it is planned to receive in industrial parks. Restoration of such powerful clusters, in my opinion, is an important task of the state. Each region can give you such examples. We need to be heard," Rustem Khamitov said in his interview to" Expert" magazine.
