10 hectares of forest were damaged in Bashkiria due to agricultural burning in the Orenburg region
In Khaibullino region a fire affected 10 hectares of forest, the press service of the Ministry of Forestry RB informs. Agricultural burning in the territory of the Steppe district forestry of the Orenburg region, where it damaged more than a thousand hectares of meadows and pastures, was the cause of the fire.
“Tonight, the fire spread to municipal land in Khaibullino region, and early in the morning went to the territory of state forest. Currently, the forest fire is localized; its suppression is being held. By the evening, we plan to suppress it completely,” the head of Khaibullino forestry Ilgam Ilimbetov said.
“If we do not react quickly, there would have been a terrible fire, our protective forests could suffer. Due to quick and well-coordinated work, we managed to stop the fire in time and did not resort to help of our neighbours,” the head of forestry said.
Thus, since the beginning of the fire hazardous season there were 32 forest fires in the republic. Fire covered more than 121 hectares.
