The Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre will open its 77th season on September 16. Ufa townspeople will be able to see their favourite performance — an ambitious, enchanting ballet "Spartacus" by Aram Khachaturian directed by Yuri Grigorovich at the scene of the City Palace of Culture.
Recall that the premiere of the "Spartacus" ballet was held in May 2013. The ballet caused a furor; tickets were sold out a month before the premiere. The performance was shown in many Russian cities, including Moscow. The tours of Bashkir ballet troupe were carried out due to financial support by the grant of the President of Bashkortostan Republic.
On September 17, in Chaliapin Hall of Ufa Academy of Arts (14, Lenin Str.) a symphony concert will be conducted. On September 18, Tchaikovsky ballet "Swan Lake" will be shown in the city of Salavat, in the Palace of Culture "Neftekhimik".
As the press service of the theatre informs, the website of the establishment will also be updated to the new season.
Currently, major repair is near completion in the theatre. It is planned that the renovated theatre will open its doors in November 2014.
