On July 24, in Neftekamsk Rustem Khamitov chaired a meeting of the Coordination Council for Entrepreneurship under the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
According to the head of the region, despite work of institutions supervising small-scale businesses in the republic there is no integrated centre to support small and medium businesses, there is any clear priorities and directions for the future. During the first meeting of the Council members identified priorities for the rest of the year.
Rustem Khamitov noted that "obtaining permits and land rights still remains a sore point". Thus a system for providing services on a "single window" principle in multifunctional centres should be actively implemented.
Khamitov mentioned and external problems — sanctions imposed by some Western countries and certain signs of stagnation in the Russian economy.
"Small and medium businesses should become drivers of overall economic growth in the republic. Obviously, entrepreneurship is more dynamic and prompt in its development. It is necessary to increase participation of enterprises in real economy, manufacturing sector, high-added value products, agriculture, forest products, petrochemicals and tourism. We should master industries not very traditional for the republic, such as wholesale trade by creating interregional retail chains. Today we must seek and find ways out of the current difficult situation and contribute to growth of business, entrepreneurship in our republic ", Khamitov added.
