Today, on July 18, International Sculpture Symposium "Melody of Stone" completed in Kazan. Masters finished work on limestone rocks, which turned into new and exquisite pieces of art.
Among the eight sculptors are representatives of Kazan, Crimea, Azerbaijan and Turkey. Ufa resident Ruslan Nigmatullin participates in the Turkic symposium at the museum-reserve "Kazan Kremlin".
Bashkir sculptor since 2004 participates in republican, regional, national and international exhibitions, since 2006 — in symposiums and festivals "Sculpture in Stone." He is the winner of the Shaikhzada Babich State Republican Youth Prize. As reported by the national Union of Artists, recently Ruslan Nigmatullin has won a scholarship of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Union of Artists.
Organizers hope that the event will contribute to the strengthening of national traditions and open new opportunities for ethnic sculpture. It is planned that the sculptures will remain in the Kazan Kremlin, and some will decorate the streets, parks and squares of the capital of Tatarstan.
The organizer of the sculpture symposium "Melody of Stone" is the International Organization of Turkic Culture "TURKSOY" which proclaimed Kazan the capital of Turkic world of 2014.
