BRICS summit will be held in Ufa on July 9-10, 2015. This was announced at the enlarged meeting of the BRICS leaders in Fortaleza (Brazil) on July 15.
The Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited the leaders present at the meeting to the next BRICS Summit to be held on July 9-10 2015 in Ufa. Rustem Khamitov, the head of Bashkortostan took part in formal events of the 6th Summit of Heads of State and Government of BRICS as part of the delegation of the Russian Federation.
As stated in the declaration adopted at the extended meeting in Fortaleza: "Brazil, India, China and South Africa supported a proposal of Russia to hold the 7th BRICS Summit in Ufa in 2015".
“Of course, it is a great honour — to welcome SCO and BRICS Summits in Ufa, in the Republic of Bashkortostan”, Rustem Khamitov said at a meeting with foreign journalists. “This is also a great responsibility, a lot of work which we have been doing for already two years. Preparation is going on as planned. We are not experiencing any difficulties and problems in modernization of existing and construction of new facilities. We have experience in holding major international conferences, forums, and we know how to organize this work. By the end of 2014, beginning of 2015 we will be ready in terms of our buildings, facilities, hotels. In the spring of 2015 we will be ready organizationally.”
