Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU) was visited by the rector of Moscow State University of Mechanical Engineering (MAMI) Andrey Nikolaenko and Vice-Rector for Development Vladimir Timonin. They took part in the fourth International Youth Industrial Forum "Engineers of the Future 2014" held in Karaidelsky region and organized by the Union of Russian Mechanical Engineers and Ufa Engine Industrial Association with the support of the State Corporation Rostech, the press centre of the university reports.
USATU Rector Murat Guzairov noted that the forum united young people truly interested in their professional development.
Moscow Engineering University leaders highly estimated interaction between USATU and large industrial enterprises.
“We were greatly impressed with your strong partnership and cooperation with UMPO”, Andrey Nikolaenko said.
MAMI Rector spoke about long-term program of strategic development at their university.
"Our program is comprehensive in nature and aimed at strengthening the material-technical base of the university, attracting new personnel and forming an effective system of the university management. Priority is given to development of sustainable educational and research infrastructure, which would become a centre of the best intellectual resources".
After the meeting the guests went to the office-museum of aircraft engines and internal combustion engines department. Features of a new model of teaching were discussed. Its essence is that students are engaged in scientific work already during their first year of studies, and the course of academic disciplines is connected with stages of research and writing of their final paper. During the meeting it was agreed to continue cooperation between USATU and Moscow Engineering University (MAMI).
