A project of "Sputnik FM" radio station reached the final of the "Radiomania 2014" National Award. Finalists of "Radiomania 2014" award were presented by the organizing committee during a press conference held on June 17. Just this year, 90 applications were submitted for the award from 80 stations. Of these, 27 stations are Moscow (71 applications), and 53 — regional (119 applications).
A radio version of the festival-contest "Ufa Wave" — a project by "Sputnik FM" reached the final in the category "Musical program".
The honourary status of the award finalist testifies to the appreciation of the jury, which is consists of the heads of major Russian radio stations, as well as well-known experts in the field of radio broadcasting. The names of three finalists are defined in each category, one of which will be awarded a bronze microphone — "Radio Oscar", which is presented annually to the strongest participants of the professional competition.
Names of "Radiomania 2014" laureates will be announced at the solemn ceremony, which will take place on June 26.
The "Radiomania" National Award was established by All-Russian public organization of media workers "Media Union" and the Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media in 2002.
