On June 9, in Serpukhov, Moscow region Rustem Khamitov attended a session of the Government Commission on Protection of Russian Citizens' Health chaired by Dmitry Medvedev. The Prime Minister of the Government of Russia emphasized the need to introduce occupational hazards management system, and proposed to make ratings of working conditions at enterprises. In addition, the session discussed the strengthening of preventive work, in particular on preventive medical examination, which in many cases is conducted formally.
Rustem Khamitov making a report "On measures of occupational safety and health in the Republic of Bashkortostan" noted that several republican programs were adopted in the region, including "Improving labour conditions and safety" program.
“We were probably the first in the Russian Federation to adopt the program "Decent Labour" for the period until 2025. It is designed to reduce income inequality and poverty in the republic and is dedicated to development of targeted social assistance. It has target values. In particular, the level of spending on health and safety should grow by ten percent for employers, the number of injured should also be reduced by ten percent. We are still working under these figures. We also have a project of the republican target program — already at the stage of adoption — "Health of the Working Population" for 2015-2019.
The detailed shorthand report is available on the official website of the head of the republic.
