Bashkortostan is in the top ten of regions with the most effective government authorities
On the results of 2013 Bashkortostan is among the subjects of Russia with the best indexes of the authorities’ effectiveness estimation. The republic occupies the tenth place in the rating. Preliminary results of the executive bodies’ effectiveness are announced by the Russian Ministry of Regional Development considering the trend data over a three year period. The annual report is submitted to the President of the Russian Federation, the head of the Ministry Igor Slyunyaev said at a press briefing.
Overall 39 subjects of the Russian Federation have improved their positions for 2013. For the three-year period the Republic of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Sakha (Yakutia), Krasnodar Territory, Nizhny Novgorod and Samara regions became leaders on the level and growth of economic development. The lowest results for the three years in the field of economic development were shown by the Kabardino -Balkar Republic, the Republic of Karelia, Vladimir, Volgograd, Tver and Kurgan Regions.
Ingushetia and St. Petersburg achieved the best results on the level and growth of social development. Leading positions in terms of social sphere development are occupied by Moscow, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District — Yugra and Yamal- Nenets Autonomous District.
Executive authorities of the Chechen Republic (2nd place), the Chukotka Autonomous District (1) and the Yamal- Nenets Autonomous District (3) received the highest appreciation of citizens in 2011-2013. The smallest values went to the Republic of Dagestan (83) and North Ossetia-Alania (81) and Novgorod region (82).
According to Kommersant, a report on the efficiency rating will be submitted to the Government before August 15 and will be approved before October 15. After that, grants totaling 3.5 billion rubles will be distributed among the regional leaders; each of the leaders will get from 250 to 300 million rubles.
