FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil: football fan memo
The XX Anniversary Football World Cup will be held in Brazil from June 12 to July 13. Twelve stadiums of the country will welcome FIFA World Cup.
For citizens wanting to visit the World Cup the entry regulations into the territory of Brazil remain the same as in other periods: a visa is not required to visit the country by a tourist. When crossing the border one must have a passport valid for at least six months after the end of the trip, return air tickets with the departure date from the Brazilian territory, as well as confirmation of a reserved room in a hotel, or a letter of invitation from a Brazilian citizen or company. It is interesting that over 30,000 Russian fans and a record number of media representatives — about 16,000 are expected to attend the event.
The Russian team led by Italian Fabio Capello will play in the group stage: on June 17 with South Korea, on June 22 with Belgium, on June 26 with Algeria.
