Bashkir director’s film is included in the shortlist of the UK Film Festival

The documentary and feature film by Bashkir director Ainur Askarov "Bitter Honey" received international recognition again. At this time, the film is included in the short list of Cambridge International Strawberry Shorts Film Festival 2014.

Recall that "Bitter Honey" film is devoted to the theme of rural life. It tells about life of an elderly man engaged in apiculture, filmed in Burziansky region of Bashkiria. The film, which became a graduation work of Ainur Askarov was included in the competition program of many Russian and international festivals and was shown on the "Russia" TV channel.

At the Strawberry Shorts Film Festival short films in different genres are presented — fiction and documentary, drama and comedy, fantastic and mystical, cartoons. Festival participants are representatives of different countries: the UK, the USA, Greece, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Korea, El Salvador.

«We are a group of people with a passion for Short Films. We have been showing both local and international short films at our Strawberry Shorts Film Festival, since 2001. We want to infect the rest of the world with our enthusiasm», it is said on the festival 's official website.

The films included in the short list will be screened in The Cambridge Festival Theatre throughout the year.
