This month a minimum living wage is set at 6790 rubles in Bashkortostan in the first quarter of 2014. The corresponding decree of the Government of the republic is published on the official website of legal information.
The minimum living wage was 7216 rubles for able-bodied population, for pensioners — 5541 rubles, for children — 6811 rubles.
The minimum living wage is necessary to assess living standards while development and implementation of social policies and programs, justification of established at the federal level the minimum wage, scholarships, allowances and other social benefits, as well as formation of the federal budget.
The minimum living wage per capita and in the main social and demographic groups as a the whole across the country are determined on the basis of the consumer basket and Rosstat data on consumer prices for food, non-food goods and services.
