Sales of tourist services amounted to 289.7 million rubles in Bashkortostan in January-April, which exceeds the comparable figure in 2013 by 38.6 percent. According to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, this is the highest growth rates in services sector for the first four months of 2014.
The total volume of paid services of all kinds amounted to 66.2 billion rubles in the republic in January-April with growth of 2 percent compared to January- April 2013.
The volume of paid legal services significantly increased: by 23.2 percent to 374.1 million rubles. Positive trend was also marked in the segment of sanatorium-and-spa treatment (116.7 percent to four months in 2013), public health (112.8) and education (111.4) services, and services in culture sphere (107.8), consumer services (105.1) and in some other areas.
The greatest volume of paid services to the population in Bashkortostan accounts for utilities and transport companies — 16.3 billion and 11.2 billion rubles. In both segments a decrease is registered — by 1.7 percent and 3.8 percent, respectively. Also volume of services in the field of communications slightly went down — by 0.3 percent to 6.8 billion rubles.
