Vasilevsky helped the Russian team to defeat Americans

Andrei Vasilevsky, the former Salavat Yulaev goalie, was named the best player of the Russian team in the group stage match of the World Cup in Minsk against the United States. 19-year-old goalkeeper managed to save 39 of 40 shots, and his team won with a crushing 6-1 score.

This is the third consecutive success of the Russian national team at the championship. Ufa in the tournament is also presented by defender Andrei Zubarev.

On May 14 the Russian team will play versus Kazakhstan.
