On April 29, in the second building of the M.Akmulla’s Bashkir State Pedagogical University (BSPU) a festive celebration will be held on the results of work of the Centre for Gifted Students Development opened at the University.
There will be honoured more than 150 young scholars who actively participated in competitions, conferences and other events, including "Akmulla’s Olympiad" held by the Centre. Deserved awards will be handed over not only to children, but also to their teachers.
According to the BSPU press-centre various activities of the Centre were attended by over 17000 students from 52 regions of Bashkortostan and regions of Russia — Chelyabinsk, Kemerovo and Moscow regions, Mordovia, Tuva and others.
During 2013-2014 academic year institutes and faculties of the University held distance Olympiads in 22 school subjects and creative directions. As part of work with gifted students 30 intellectual competitions, creative and sporting events were held.
Students from Ufa, Tuimazy, Sterlitamak, Alsheevsky , Buraevsky , Chekmagushevsky , Meleuzovsky and other regions of the republic took an active part in the ongoing contests and competitions. The University 's website was visited not only by students of the republic, but also of other regions of the country and neighboring countries. There were also visitors from European countries and America. Some days, their number reached 12,000 people.
The most large-scale event was the music contest "Gifted Children of Russia" organized by the Department of Musical Education and Choreographic Art. The number of its participants amounted to more than 1400 people.
