Ufa welcomes the best Russian and foreign jazz musicians for the eighteenth time. From April 11 to 13 the International Jazz Festival "The Pink Panther" will take place at the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society.

As the press service of the Philharmonic Society informs, on the first day eminent jazz masters hornist Arkady Shilkloper from Germany, pianist Vladimir Shafranov from Finland, Tyumen guitarist Andrew Zloyan will come on the stage. The receiving party will be represented by jazz quartet "Ufa" and big band of Bashkir State Philharmonic Society.

On the second day of the festival a traditional matinee for the whole family at the Organ Hall will be held at 14:00, where young Ufa musicians will play together with Vladimir Shafranov.

The same evening at 18:00 participants of the "League of Nations" project will come on the scene of the Philharmonic Society. The League will be presented by musicians from all over the world — from Cameroon to Russia. The audience will see a participant of TV show "Big Jazz" from New York Alexandra Mogilevich, who will play drums. Musicians will cover a very wide musical range — classical and ethnic jazz, worldmusic, Latin jazz, fusion. In the second part a famous American jazz singer Dee Daniels will give a performance. She gave concerts in Africa, Australia, South America, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Japan and many European countries. Oleg Gasimov’s jazz quartet will accompany the American singer on Ufa stage.

The international forum will finish with a gala concert of festival participants on Sunday, April 13. On this day the legendary Harlem jazz tenor-saxophonist Bill Saxton will give a performance at Bashkir State Philharmonic Society.
