The film by Gulnaz Galimullina, the director at Bashkir satellite television about famous Paralympian Yrek Zaripov "The Number of Life" has been recognized at the XII International Sport Film Festival "Krasnogorsk".
In the category "Strong Will" this work became the best among the others. This year's festival competition program included about 80 films and documentaries presented by participants from 23 countries.
"The Number of Life" tells the story about a skier and biathlete from Sterlitamak Yrek Zaripov. Recall that Irek Zaripov won gold at the Winter Paralympic Games in Torino in 2010, and at the Paralympics in Sochi he won the silver medal. Gulnaz Galimullina shot a film about him immediately after the arrival of athletes from Torino.
The Bashkir director was awarded by a film critic, organizer of Portuguese cinema festivals abroad Fernando Ferreira da Silva and the most titled athlete in the world of women's boxing Natalia Ragozina. As emphasized by the organizers of the festival every year not only the quantity but also the quality of submitted works increases.
Now Gulnaz Galimullina lives and works in Moscow. She plans to continue her personal project "Profiles" about interesting people’s lives in the Russian capital.
