Ufa will host II Euromoney International Investment Forum on April 8
On April 8 II Euromoney International Investment Forum will be held in Ufa. It will take place at the M.Gafuri’s Bashkir State Academic Drama Theatre. The conference will address global, federal and regional investment environment and the key structural issues relevant to Bashkortostan and Russia as a whole. Euromoney participants will develop recommendations to address the issues raised.
“This year, Euromoney is 45 years old, and its core purpose is unchanged since its foundation in 1969. The purpose of the company is encouraging international capital flows,” it is said in the official address of the Managing Director of Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC Neil Osborne on the website of the forum. “We believe that the more investment moves between nations the better it is for the whole world. We will be discussing Bashkortostan’s economic strengths, not just oil, but also chemicals, machine-tools, metals, and above all the high quality life of the republic’s citizens. I am sure that the participants will be interested in infrastructure and transport links planned in Bashkortostan.”
Among the investment projects to be presented at the Euromoney forum is construction of a mining and smelting complex for the production of high quality cast iron (JSC "Belstal"), construction of a plant for the production of silicon polycrystal (LLC "Peton"), construction of a plant for deep processing of wheat to produce glucose-fructose syrups in Birsk region of the republic, establishing of an enterprise producing cotonin and sheave from treated plant fibres BASH HEMP, and various infrastructure projects of public-private partnership.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development RB, the first Eurononey Forum gathered about 300 participants; half of them were representatives of major foreign companies and banks. It was organized by the Government of Bashkortostan in partnership with Euromoney in accordance with the cooperation agreement signed in 2013.
