In Ufa, April 4, the Centre of Contemporary Art "Clouds" will introduce an exhibition "The Domashnikovs. Father and son". The exposition is devoted to the 90th anniversary of the famous painter of the 20th century Boris Domashnikov. The artist's name long time ago became a key one in the annals of the Bashkir art. His last exhibition was held more than 10 years ago.
Boris Domashnikov canvases are ranked alongside the works of the world famous artists. His paintings are placed in major museums of Russia and the world, in private collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Academy of Arts, the State Museum of Oriental Art, the Nesterov’s Bashkir State Museum. Experts of the centre believe that the works by Boris Domashnikov constitute a cultural heritage of Bashkortostan.
Viktor Borisovich is a son of the famous painter. He also chose the way of artistic creativity and found individual style of painting.
For the first time the father and son Domashnikovs are exhibited together in this volume. The future exhibition will occupy the entire exhibition hall of the Centre of Contemporary Art. About 200 works will be presented there.
Ufa residents will be able to visit the exhibition within a month.
