Bashkir chefs participate in the All-Russian culinary championship "Chef à la Russe 2014" taking place in "Crocus Expo" in Moscow.
The competition involved teams and individual members from more than 40 cities and regions of Russia. Bashkortostan team with the support of the State Committee RB on trade and consumer protection includes the executive director of the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers RB Natalia Chibrykina, the President of the Guild of Chefs and Confectioners RB Maxim Kuleshov, the member of the Guild of Chefs RB Alexander Fink and master confectioner, CEO of Culinary Association of Bashkortostan Olga Illarionova.
The championship jury includes the known international judges headed by the President WACS Gissur Gudmundsson and the President of the Culinary Association of Russia Viktor Belyaev.
As Maxim Kuleshov informs, all dishes were made with only such products that were popular among the residents of Bashkortostan.
“During the awarding ceremony in the "national dish" category the jury many times focused on high professionalism of our team and special flavours of dishes. However, our chefs trying to serve dishes at a top level did not meet the allotted hour and a half, and lost a few dozen points. But nevertheless Bashkortostan chefs won bronze medals. In addition, our countrymen were awarded with a special prize from the organizers”, Diana Masagutova said.
Today chefs will have individual competitions. Maxim Kuleshov is to prepare a vegetarian dish.
The competition will be held in two categories — for cooks and bakers. The latter will show their skills on April 3.
The major prize will be a trip to Lyon (France) for the final «Bocuse d'Or» in January 2015.
