German film festival is opened in Ufa with "Goethe !" melodrama

A German film festival will be held in Ufa from April 7 to 11. The film dedicated to the young age of the future writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe will open the program. It is planned to show six films as a part of the festival in the "Rodina" cinema, the event organizer Gizella Bakaeva said.

Traditionally, on the opening day of the festival on April 7 a banquet, concert program, quiz with prizes from the Goethe-Institut, live music are prepared for visitors.

All films will be shown in German with Russian subtitles.

The festival program:

April 7 — melodrama «Goethe!» Director Philip Stölzl, 2010.

April 8 — drama «Poll» Director Chris Kraus, 2010.

April 9 — drama «Am Ende kommen die Touristen» Director Robert Thalheim , 2007 , and a children's comedy «Sergeant Pepper»  Director Sandra Nettelbek 2004.

April 10 — drama «4 Tage im Mai» Director Achim von Borries, 2011.

April 11 — melodrama «Westwind» Director Robert Thalheim, 2011.

The festival takes place in the framework of the Week of the German language in RB. It is organized by the National Library (German Reading Room), German Cultural Centre by the name of Goethe in Moscow, Friendship Society "Bashkortostan and Germany ", and the Association of German language teachers.
