The exhibition "Contemporary Russian Art" is opened in the capital of Bashkortostan. The Ufa Art Gallery will host a collection of the St. Petersburg Museum of Modern Art "Erarta". The basis of the exhibition is painting. It includes mainly prominent St. Petersburg artists, which for the last 20-30 years became living classics: Vyacheslav Mikhailov, Valery Lukka, Felix Volosenkov, Elena Figurina, Anatoly Zaslavsky, Nikolay Sazhin. The exhibition includes about seventy canvases, and these are works not only from the museum repository, but also from the permanent exhibition.
The exhibition is held in Ufa as a part of the long-term project "Russia in Erarta", which is unique in the country. The project aim is to conduct exhibitions of regional artists in St. Petersburg, and to brought the exhibits of the northern capital to other cities.
The "Erarta" exhibition will last in Ufa until April 19.
