United Russia’s rating rose to 50.1 percent in March
Electoral rating of United Russia party rose by 5.8 percent and reached 50.1 from February 23 to March 16. All-Russian Public Opinion Research Centre conducted a weekly poll of electoral support of Russian parties.
Increase in the country's citizens confidence in the United Russia is primarily related to the events that have occurred recently, with the steps taken by the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, the founder of the party, the secretary of the Party General Council Sergey Neverov said.
“United Russia is a party that implements policy of our President. And the support given to her by people is primarily a support of the political course of the head of the state.”
“We had huge success with the Winter Olympics and Paralympics. Thanks to the principled position of Vladimir Putin a historic decision of Crimea and Sevastopol’s entry into the Russian Federation was made, and these steps were highly appreciated by the citizens of our country. Therefore, we see a significant increase of the approval of the President and the United Russia as the party implementing a course of the leader of the state”, Sergey Neverov noted.
The known republican political scientist Albert Miftakhov added that growth in the rating of United Russia was associated also with other factors.
“Today we can say with confidence that there is a real political competition in Russia. Because of this the party's activity also changed. It works not only from elections to elections. New people entered the United Russia’s structure. It has inner changes. And this did not go unnoticed,” Albert Miftakhov said.
