Storm warning is announced in Bashkortostan - EMERCOM

The republic declared a storm warning, according to Bashkortostan EMERCOM. Forecasters predict a blizzard along with increasing southwest, west wind.

Breakages of transmission lines and communication lines, disruption of vital facilities functioning, failures in system utilities, destruction and fall of poorly fixed structures, glazing, roofing damage, personal injuries by fragments of destroyed structures, traffic jams on roads and increase in number of accidents are possible.

Today, on March 20, cloudy weather will be in the region. Snow — from light to moderate is expected, sometimes blizzard, ice-slick. Southwest wind 9-14 metres per second, with gusts up to 15-20 metres per second. Day temperatures will range from minus four to plus one degree Celsius.

Ice-slick, worsening of visibility conditions to 500-1000 metres due to snow, blizzard will be on some parts of roads.

A complex of preventive measures is conducted to reduce the likelihood of emergencies in the region. All disaster management facilities and forces are on alert. Road services are also ready to eliminate possible emergencies.
