Sergey Lavrov supported the initiative of Talgat Tajuddin
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov supported the initiative of the Chairman of the Russia's Central Spiritual Governance for Muslims Talgat Tajuddin concerning the event conducting at the three shrines (Wailing Wall, Church of the Resurrection of Christ and the Al-Aqsa Mosque ) in Jerusalem on May 25. Mufti suggested committing a joint worship of traditional religions of the country with a prayer for peace and harmony in the world.
The Central Spiritual Governance for Muslims of Russia reported that the meeting was held on the initiative of Talgat Tajuddin and was devoted to the participation of Russian Muslims in foreign affairs.
During the meeting, Sergey Lavrov and Talgat Tajuddin noted the importance of the efforts of the Russian leadership on preventing interfaith confrontation, particularly in the Middle East.
At the end of the meeting they agreed on the continuation of mutually beneficial contacts between Russia's Central Spiritual Governance for Muslims and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
