Participants of public meeting in Ufa appealed to Vladimir Putin to use all the powers for reunion of the Crimea with Russia
Participants of republican public meeting under the slogan "Stop the march to the East!" on behalf of the inhabitants of the multinational Bashkortostan expressed their deep concern with the events in Ukraine and their sincere empathy towards its hearty, kind and hard-working people.
The meeting of representatives of political, veterans, national, youth, students, sports and other public organizations of Bashkortostan was held on the square in front of the Palace of Sports in Ufa. More than seven thousand Ufa residents gathered to express their solidarity with the people of Crimea. The meeting was organized by the Assembly of the Peoples RB.
The Chairman of the Council of Regional Public Organization "Assembly of the Peoples of Bashkortostan Republic" Akhat Mustafin in his address to the participants of the meeting thanked the people of Bashkortostan for their concern with the events that occurred in Ukraine. He noted that extreme, nationalist forces came to the power in the fraternal republic. It made Crimea to hold a referendum and decide to reunion with Russia.
Participants of the mass meeting decided to "support the people of Crimea in their historic decision of joining the Russian Federation and to appeal to the Russian President Vladimir Putin to use all his powers under the Constitution for the early reunion of Crimea with Russia".
